Booking a service
How do I book an electrician?+
Open the app or the Book a Service page here on the website, pick the issue you're facing (or describe your own), confirm your address, and choose Book Instant or Schedule for a later time. You'll be matched with a nearby verified electrician - usually in under 60 minutes for an instant booking.
What's the ₹49 visit charge for?+
It covers the electrician's diagnosis visit - travelling to you, inspecting the issue, and quoting materials and labor. It's adjusted into your final bill, not charged on top of it.
Can I schedule a booking for later instead of right now?+
Yes - Schedule lets you pick a day and a fixed 30-minute slot up to two weeks out. Urgent bookings are live-match only, since scheduling would defeat the point.
How do I track my electrician?+
Once someone accepts your booking, the app shows their real-time location and status - accepted, on the way, inspecting - right up to the visit. You'll also see their experience, training tier, languages, and rating.
Can I cancel a booking?+
Yes, free of charge any time before an electrician accepts it. Once accepted, contact support to cancel or reschedule.
Electricians & verification
Are electricians actually verified?+
Yes - every partner's identity documents and experience are checked before approval, and they're trained on our own tiers (L1 through L5) before taking jobs through the app. You can see an electrician's tier, languages, and completed-jobs count once matched.
What if I'm not happy with the electrician who shows up?+
Rate and review them after the job - it's how we track quality and it directly affects their standing on the platform. For anything more serious, report it to support within 7 days of the job.
Which cities is Electric Seva available in?+
We're currently set up in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Mumbai, and Pune, with more cities coming as we bring on verified electricians. Electrician availability can vary by area within a city.
Pricing & payment
How is my final bill calculated?+
Visit charge, plus any materials used, plus labor for the work done, minus any discount, plus GST if it applies to your booking - all shown as a clear breakdown before you pay. You approve materials and labor costs before any further work begins, so nothing shows up on the bill that you haven't already agreed to.
Can I pay cash, or does it have to be online?+
Both - pay the electrician directly in cash, or pay online through the app via Razorpay. Either way, the amount is exactly what's shown in your breakdown.
Do promo codes actually work?+
Yes - apply one before confirming your booking and it's deducted from your visit charge, capped at whatever the code's maximum discount is.
Is GST included?+
When GST applies to your booking, it's shown as a separate line - CGST+SGST or IGST depending on your state - before you confirm payment, and it's on your invoice afterward.
Materials & installation
Do you sell electrical goods directly, not just services?+
Yes - wires, switches, MCBs, and other everyday electrical parts, at prices shown upfront. An electrician can also bring materials for your job, which you approve before they're billed.
What if a job needs a return visit for installation?+
Some jobs need materials ordered and delivered before installation can finish - your booking status will show Materials Approved, then Dispatched, then Delivered, then the electrician returns to complete the install. You're kept posted at every stage.
Your account
How do I delete my account?+
From Profile in the app, or the Delete Account page on this website - it's permanent and removes your personal data per our privacy policy.
I'm not getting notifications for my booking - what do I do?+
Check that notification permissions are allowed for the app in your phone's settings. The in-app notification bell also shows every update even if a push is missed, so you won't lose track of a booking either way.
How do I become a partner electrician?+
Apply through Become a Partner on this website or in the electrician app - it takes a few minutes, and our team reviews every application before approval.
